Siesta Key Resorts

Siesta Key resorts are (obviously) located on Siesta Key…but where is Siesta Key, anyway? It’s a barrier island located on the Florida Gulf coast, near to Sarasota.

(And just as a bit of trivia, it was at one time called Sarasota Key.)

Let’s take a peek at some of the Siesta Key resorts that you may want to consider for your next Florida vacation. Some are more hotel-like, and some have condo-style accommodations.

One location that consistently gets top ratings from vacationers is Tropical Shores Beach Resort. While the Tropical Shores isn’t located directly on the beach, it’s a very short walk to the beach. Also, you can rent rooms with a kitchen/kitchenette, rooms with full decks, and a whole lot more.

The Sea Spray Resort is for those who want a condo stay as opposed to a resort stay — in other words, if you want to spread out some. While not directly on the beach, it’s not far at all — just a short walk brings you there. And if you have a few extra dollars, request a suite that has its own private pool!

Another resort you may want to consider is the Captiva Beach Resort on Siesta Key. It’s a low-key resort, not fancy by any means, but if you’re looking for something small (as opposed to a mega-resort), this may be exactly what you’re seeking.

Let’s see, what else? If you are looking to upgrade a bit, you might want to check out the Capri at Siesta Key. This resort is right on the beach, and features condo-style accommodations. Private pool, gas grills and close to the Sarasota attractions, The Capri is a pretty good bet for a place to stay.

So there are a few Siesta Key resorts for you to explore. Just remember — the high (more expensive) season tends to be from Christmas through Easter.
